Luke Combs Conquers Country Charts
Never underestimate the power of devoted country music fans. Thanks to them, one star singer just reached an incredible feat in a shockingly short amount of time.
The star singer we’re talking about is of course, Luke Combs.

If you’re a country music fan and haven’t heard of Combs by this point, then you must have spent the past three years on a deserted island. His debut single “Hurricane” was released in 2016 and made him an instant sensation.
The track hit the top spot on the Country Airplay chart, and was one of the biggest hits of 2016 and 2017, since it was released in October of the former year. Billboard placed “Hurricane” at the third position on its 2017 year-end Hot Country Songs chart and the fifth on its 2017 year-end Country Airplay chart.
From that point on, every song that Combs released experienced an equal level of success. He has only released five singles to date, and every one has reached chart-topping status. No other country artist had ever taken their first five singles to the Country Airplay chart’s top spot before.
A “Crazy” Successful Single
Combs’ most recent single to reach number one was the romantic “Beautiful Crazy.” In fact, as of this writing, “Beautiful Crazy” is sitting at the top of both the Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts for the second week in a row.

The song is one that fans have always been passionate about, which is why it came as no surprise when it reached number one.
“Beautiful Crazy” has a unique history behind it. The song was not included as a track on Combs’ debut album, This One’s for You, but he still performed it live. Fans made their love of the song clear, and it soon became one of the most anticipated pieces of his sets.

Then, in May 2018, Combs released a music video for the song. At this point it still wasn’t a single, and still didn’t appear on an album.
The simple music video shows Combs singing the song in a recording studio. He proved that he didn’t need any bells or whistles to make the clip take off, as it quickly became one of the highest-viewed videos on his official YouTube channel. In fact, it has even more views than some of his music videos for other singles.

A 100 Million View Video
Finally, in June 2018, “Beautiful Crazy” was released as a bonus track on a reissued version of Combs’ album. But it still wasn’t released as a single until December 2018, and then it took off like never before.
Of course, the song’s success as a newfound single sent more people to its already successful music video. Then, on Thursday (March 7), less than a year after it was released, the video for “Beautiful Crazy” shattered 100 million views.
Combs took to social media to express his excitement over the accomplishment.
