After weeks of voting, fans finally learned who won the Male Video of the Year Award when the CMT Music Awards aired on Sunday (April 2). Are you ready to find out who claimed the trophy?
LeAnn Rimes took to the stage to announce the winning video…”Son of a Sinner” by Jelly Roll!
Since the video for “Son of a Sinner” has 49 million views, it’s no wonder why it won the award for Male Video of the Year. It’s one of the most popular country music videos released in the past year!
Jelly Roll cried as he accepted the trophy from Rimes. “I love you all so much!” he shouted.
“…it took me 39 years to walk from over there to right here,” he said. He went on to give an inspirational speech about how you can be whoever you want to be, and do whatever you want to do, no matter what struggles you’ve been through in the past.
