After performing in Bogotá, Colombia, Miley boarded a plane to head to Asunción, Paraguay, where she was set to perform as the headliner of the 2022 Asuncionico Music Festival. Overnight, reports surfaced that Cyrus’ flight experienced some issues, and her fans grew concerned.

Cyrus put everyone’s minds at ease when she shared a post on Instagram early on Wednesday (March 23). In the post, she explained how her “plane was caught in a major unexpected storm.” The plane was struck by lightning, which was the reason why they made an emergency landing.
