For some time now, fans have been eagerly waiting on new music from country music trio the Pistol Annies and it’s all because of Miranda Lambert. At the end of January, she posted a black and white photo on Instagram on her playing guitar with a glass of wine and a pen and notepad.

“I sing (and write…and drink) in the shower,” she captioned the photo alongside the hashtag “#MayBePistolAnnies.”

Since then, the teases about new Pistol Annies music has only come more frequently, especially when the group, consisting of Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley reunited at a concert on March 2nd to sing “Hell on Heels.”

In a radio interview, Lambert officially confirmed that the Pistol Annies are working on a new album. She said that they were sending verses back and forth to each other, and eventually had a full song within minutes!

It seems like this past weekend served as another writing session for the trio. Lambert shared a photo of herself laying on a unicorn floaty and captioned the cute photo, “Feelin’ floaty! #PistolAnnies #WorkPlay.”

She also promised that they were actually writing music, and not just goofing around, which we weren’t expecting, but thank goodness! We haven’t heard new Pistol Annies music in over five years, and we hope they don’t make us wait much longer!
