Morgan Wallen Teases New Song “Come Back As A Redneck”

Morgan Wallen has shared another sneak peek of an unreleased song from his upcoming album.

In January, Wallen announced his new album, I’m the Problem. While details were initially slim, more information has gradually been revealed, including several tracks from the project.

So far, we know the album will have a total of 37 songs, and Wallen has already released several of them over the past few months.

Fans have heard the album’s title track, along with songs like “Smile,” “Love Somebody,” and “Lies Lies Lies.” Additionally, Wallen has released lyric videos for “I’m a Little Crazy” and “Just In Case.”

It doesn’t seem like he plans to stop teasing new tracks ahead of the album’s release, either. On Monday night, March 31, Wallen shared another video, this time giving fans a glimpse of a new song titled “Come Back as a Redneck,” along with what appears to be its accompanying music video.

The song is an upbeat track, setting it apart from many of his slower songs. From the short clip of lyrics, it seems to celebrate embracing a country lifestyle without shame, even when compared to someone who’s living a more wealthy life.

Wallen suggests that while their lives may seem different, deep down, they’re not so far apart. He says that if they die, he hopes they come back as a redneck so they can truly understand.

“When you die I hope you come back as a redneck / I hope it sticks on you like that hell-hot sun tattoo / I hope you break your back for that barely-get-by pay-check”

The song had many fans rushing to the comments to share their thoughts on the unreleased track.

“This is the upbeat banger I knew was coming!” one fan wrote.

“THIS IS SO GOOD,” another exclaimed.

“Album of the year loading…” said another.

Wallen’s New Song Teaser Comes Just Two Days After His SNL Appearance Made Headlines

While Wallen often shares clips of upcoming songs, this time, it caught extra attention.

It was his first post since his Saturday Night Live (SNL) appearance on March 29, which has since sparked a viral controversy online.

By now, many have heard about Wallen’s SNL appearance this past weekend. The night seemed to go smoothly… that is, until the end credits rolled.

Typically, the host, musical guest, and cast stay on stage to chat and celebrate until the cameras stop. But while still live, Wallen was seen walking off the front of the stage without acknowledging anyone else.

The uproar over his sudden exit only grew when, shortly after leaving SNL, he posted an Instagram story of a plane he was about to board with the caption, “Get me to God’s country.”

So was sharing “Come Back as a Redneck” his way of responding to all the talk about why he left SNL and New York City so quickly?…. Your guess is as good as ours.
