Season 3 of The Masked Singer featured no shortage of country covers in its early weeks. The masked celebrities sang covers of Miranda Lambert‘s “Mama’s Broken Heart,” Billy Ray Cyrus‘ “Achy Breaky Heart,” and Reba McEntire‘s “Fancy.”

Those covers were performed by the Kitty, the Banana, and Miss Monster, respectively. Later on in the competition, the Night Angel made it clear that she too, is a country music fan by choosing a song by one of the genre’s leading ladies.

Hailed from the beginning of the season as one of the best vocalists on the show, Night Angel decided to show off her singing chops on Shania Twain‘s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman.” The song was released in 1999 and was a crossover success.

It peaked at the fourth spot on the Hot Country Songs chart while also claiming the 23rd position on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

“Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” is a song full of personality, so it gave Night Angel the chance to put on an entertaining performance for the Masked Singer judges. They voted her through to the next round, saving her from being eliminated in “The Smackdown.”

Astronaut and Kangaroo competed in “The Smackdown” instead, and Kangaroo lost. So while her identity was revealed, Night Angel’s remained a secret for at least another week.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the Night Angel’s identity. Most people seem to believe she is Kandi Burruss, a singer-songwriter who also stars in the reality series The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Though there have been some other names thrown out there as well!
