A love for music runs in the Cyrus family. It all started with Billy Ray, who became known for his breakout country hit, “Achy Breaky Heart.”

Several of Billy Ray’s kids would go on to follow in his musical footsteps, including his youngest daughter, Noah.

Now in her 20s, Noah started her music career while she was still just a teenager. She released her debut single, “Make Me (Cry),” in 2016. It peaked at the 46th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since been certified Platinum.

She has gone on to release a number of other popular songs, many of which are collaborations. In 2020, she dipped her toes in the country music world when she recorded a duet with “Best Shot” singer Jimmie Allen.

The pair got the chance to perform their duet, “This Is Us,” during the 2020 CMT Music Awards on October 21, 2020.

Just one week after she hit the stage at the CMT Music Awards, Noah revisited the country music world. This time she recorded and shared a cover of one of the genre’s biggest hits…Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow‘s “Picture.”

“Picture” was released in 2002 off of Kid Rock’s album Cocky. At first, a conflict between Kid Rock’s and Sheryl’s record labels kept him from being able to release their version of the song. So he re-recorded it with Allison Moorer, though some radio stations went ahead and played the version with Sheryl anyway.

It was Sheryl who appeared in the song’s official music video, which has over 200 million views on YouTube.

Most “Picture” covers out there feature a duo performing. But when Noah offered her spin on the tune, she chose to sing alone.

She sang “Picture” live while visiting the crew at SiriusXM. Singing with nothing but the sound of a piano backing her up, Noah delivered a passionate, yet gentle cover of “Picture” that embodied the pain encased in the song’s lyrics.
