This year the company has brought us an edible meaty treat: Sausage candy canes.
The legendary peppermint flavor of the candy is being swapped out with the flavor of Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage and maple syrup. The website calls these treats “Scrumptious swirls of sweet, sausage-y stripes.”
“Don’t be quick to judge these canes, ‘cause their stripes have more flavor than meets the eye! First comes the sweet taste of maple, and then a hint of delicious sausage,” the site reads.
If you’re a sausage lover (or just curious to find out what they taste like), you can score a set of three candy canes by participating in the Jimmy Dean Recipe Gift Exchange.
All you have to do is cook a recipe using Jimmy Dean sausage and upload it to the website. You are then given the option to select a sausage-themed gift. You can choose from sausage-flavored candy canes, a glass sausage ornament, or last year’s favorite…sausage scented wrapping paper.
