There’s no denying the impact Randy Travis has made on country music. He was an influential figure in the genre for decades, resulting in 25 million albums sold and 22 number one hits.

But Travis’ career came to a sudden halt when he suffered a stroke in July 2013. At first he couldn’t walk without a cane and was unable to speak or sing. But after years of therapy, Travis has slowly regained his ability to walk on his own again. Incredibly, he’s also recovered his voice, as he’s shown to the world on three occasions now.

For the first time since his stroke, Travis sang at a private funeral in February 2016. The song he sang that day was “Amazing Grace,” and he performed that same song during his Country Music Hall of Fame induction in October. That performance went viral after it occurred, and was referred to by many as evidence that miracles do happen.

Travis was also responsible for creating the most memorable moment of the 2016 CMA Awards. For the opening number, today’s stars and country legends performed snippets of influential country songs from the past. They closed with Travis’ “Forever and Ever, Amen,” and much to everyone’s delight, Travis joined them all on stage to sing the final line.

Now, the country music community wants to take things to the next level to honor the artist who has touched so many hearts.

The Tennessean reports that a star-studded tribute to Travis is currently in the works. Called 1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time: A Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis, the concert is scheduled to take place on February 8 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

More performers are expected to sign up for the concert, but as of right now the lineup looks pretty impressive. Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Montgomery Gentry, and Josh Turner are just a handful of artists who have already agreed to participate. Looks like it will be a great show!

Those who wish to purchase tickets to the tribute concert can do so starting on Friday (December 9). The tickets will be available online through Ticketmaster, or can be purchased in person at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office.
