The Chicks Postpone Show At Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena
The Chicks are in the middle of their 2023 World Tour. They were set to perform back-to-back shows in Tennessee this week. But the group was forced to postpone the first of those shows.
On Thursday (July 27) the Chicks shared a statement on social media about their concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. They said, “…The Chicks must regretfully postpone tonight’s show.”
Why Was The Chicks’ Concert Postponed?
The Chicks cited an unnamed “illness” as the reason for the postponement.
“We are working on rescheduling and will provide a new show date as soon as possible,” they said, “Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets for the newly scheduled date. The Chicks are looking forward to seeing their Nashville fans soon and apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.”

How Did Fans React To The News Of The Postponement?
Fans’ reactions to the Chicks’ announcement were mixed.
Some were upset the group didn’t give more advance notice. Others were aggravated they spent a lot of money on travel, lodging, and additional expenses to attend a concert that didn’t end up happening:
“Sucks to announce this so close to showtime for your fans who were flying in and are already here for nothing,” commented one follower on Instagram.
Someone else said, “Lovvvve paying for parking $40 and not being able to get that back. More notice would’ve been nice. We are from here but MANY fans we encountered came here just for this!”
“3 hours before the show????? This should have been posted with much more notice,” wrote one follower.
But other fans were more understanding, and sent their well-wishes to the group:
“Feel better and we will see you when you’re ready to play!” said one fan.
Someone else wrote, “Oh man. Understandable of course, but my kids are in the back seat almost to downtown right now so so sad.”
“Your fans love you and hope you recover well and quickly! Can’t wait for the rescheduled date announcement!” one follower commented.
The Chicks are supposed to perform Saturday (July 29) in Knoxville. Stay tuned to see if that show is postponed as well.
