The highly anticipated 50th annual Country Music Awards arrived bringing with it an army of unforgettable performances for people to fawn over for years to come. The lineup for the 2016 award ceremony had been kept under tight lock and key, building anticipation for its arrival more than ever before.The Oak Ridge Boys spilled the beans via Twitter in the early hours of the morning that they would take the stage for a performance of their signature song, “Elvira.”

CMA Award co-host Brad Paisley took the stage alongside The Oak Ridge boys rocking out on the guitar while they sang the smooth intoxicating lyrics. They take you back to the ’80s in a performance highly reminiscent of the original.

The Oak Ridge Boys took the world of country music by storm when they released “Elvira” in 1981. The song experienced massive success on an international scale across all genres, reaching No.1 on the country charts as well as No.5 on Billboard’s all-genre chart. “Elvira” was The Oak Ridge Boys fourth No.1 hit and was certified platinum with sales dominating well into two million.
