The Voice is bringing in two country superstars to share their expert advice with the remaining contestants.

On Monday, April 14, the singing competition announced that LeAnn Rimes and Sheryl Crow are joining Season 27 as mega mentors.

Rimes will be helping out coaches John Legend and Adam Levine, while Crow will lend a hand to Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé’s teams as they begin the playoff round, set to start on April 28.

Heading into the playoffs, each coach will have five artists on their team. Rimes and Crow will help guide the contestants as they prepare for one of their most important performances yet. Once the playoffs wrap, each coach will have to choose just two artists to move on to the live shows.

This will be only the second time The Voice has brought on two Mega Mentors in a single season. During Season 26, the show welcomed rock and roll legend Sting and former coach Jennifer Hudson to help the contestants at this stage of the competition.

This will be Rimes’ first time stepping in as a Mega Mentor. However, she’s no stranger to the competition. She has served as a coach on both the British and Australian versions of the show.

Crow previously took on the role of Mega Mentor during Season 4 of The Voice back in 2013.

The Voice Announces An Important Schedule Change For The Remainder Of The Season

If you’ve been keeping up with Season 27 of The Voice, you’ve probably noticed a change in its usual schedule. Unlike past seasons that aired new episodes twice a week on Mondays and Tuesdays, this time around, the show only aired once a week on Monday nights during the early rounds.

This once-a-week schedule was followed through the pre-taped blind auditions, battles, and knockout rounds, with the final knockout episode airing on Monday, April 14.

Now that Season 27 is heading into its final rounds, The Voice is switching things up once again. NBC announced that the show will return to its original two-night schedule. In addition to the live shows, a weekly recap episode will also be added to the lineup.

Starting in May, the live results shows will also begin airing on Tuesday nights.
