Everything To Know About Season 27 Of The Voice

The Voice just returned with its 27th season and also announced a change to its typical schedule.

Season 27 of The Voice kicked off with its premiere episode on Monday, February 3. This season features three returning coaches: reigning champion Michael Bublé, Season 16 winner John Legend, and three-time winner Adam Levine.

After serving as a coach for the first 16 seasons, Levine left The Voice in 2019. Season 27 marks his long-awaited return to the program!

The last red chair is filled by a brand-new coach this season. Country singer and former Voice “Comeback Stage” coach Kelsea Ballerini stepped in to fill the seat left vacant by three-time coach Reba McEntire following her departure.

The Voice Announces Schedule Change For Current Season

If you’ve been a longtime fan of The Voice, you’ve likely grown accustomed to watching the show on Monday and Tuesday nights, especially during the blind auditions. Well, take note…because the schedule has changed for Season 27.

The Voice announced its schedule change in an article shared on the NBC website. The network stated that for most of the season, new episodes will only air on Mondays at 8/7c. The show will follow this schedule from the Blind Auditions through the Playoffs.

This departs from The Voice‘s typical model. During previous seasons, new episodes aired on both Monday and Tuesday nights.

But that won’t be the case for Season 27. NBC says the season “will only have one new episode per week for the majority of its duration.”

NBC states some new episodes WILL air on Tuesdays once the Live Shows start. Fans can expect to learn more information about those episodes closer to the season finale in May.

To summarize, if you plan on tuning in to Season 27 of The Voice, this new schedule change means you’ll only be able to watch the show on Monday for most of the season.

This isn’t the first time The Voice has changed its schedule or eliminated Tuesday night episodes.

The show changed its schedule twice during Season 25 last year (2024). While it started airing episodes on Monday and Tuesday nights, it ditched the Tuesday episodes during the Knockouts and Playoffs. The Voice resumed airing Tuesday episodes once the Live Shows started.

Before that, The Voice adopted a one-episode-a-week format in the middle of Season 23. Now, Season 27 is following a similar pattern.
