So far, viewers have witnessed some outstanding Blind Auditions and Battle performances. The Voice revisited some of the best performances in a recap episode that aired on April 1.

It was not an April Fool’s joke that The Voice didn’t air a new episode during the first week of April. NBC (The Voice‘s home network) explained why no new performances were featured in the episode.

“Instead of new performances, tonight’s [April 1] episode of The Voice will feature highlights from previous Season 25 episodes as a best-of recap of the Blind Auditions and Battles.”

The Voice will return with a new episode on April 8, kicking off the highly anticipated Knockout round.

Keith Urban will appear on that episode as the season’s Mega Mentor. He’ll assist the coaches and their contestants while they prepare for the Knockouts.

The Voice Goes Down To One Episode A Week After Schedule Change

Additionally, NBC announced a schedule change for The Voice. The show is moving from its two-episodes-a-week format to just one episode per week for the entire month of April.

“From April 1 to April 29, ‘The Voice’ Season 25 will only air once a week, on Mondays at 8/7c. These episodes will mark the Knockouts and then the Playoffs,” NBC announced.

The network stated that The Voice will change its schedule again and return to two episodes a week once the live shows start on May 6.

This isn’t the first time The Voice has announced a schedule change at this stage in the competition. During the second half of Season 23, The Voice switched up its schedule to only air one night per week. It continued to air once a week through the live shows.

In the case of Season 23, The Voice only returned to its two-episodes-a-week format for the season finale.

Thankfully for those tuning into Season 25, it sounds like The Voice plans to air twice a week throughout its entire run of live shows. We can’t wait to see more performances from this season’s talented contestants!

Again, please note that The Voice changed its schedule, so it will only air on Monday nights throughout April. But it will be back with two episodes a week after that!
