Tim McGraw did not know who his real father was until he was 11 years old. That’s when he discovered that his dad was baseball player Tug McGraw.
It took awhile for Tug to welcome Tim into his life. But the two of them eventually developed a close relationship.
Tug passed away in 2004, and Tim was devastated.

Few people know this, but Tim actually has three half-siblings through his dad. Tug had a son (Mark) and daughter (Cari) with his first wife, Phyllis. He then had another son (Matthew) with his second wife, Diane.
Fans have seen Tim’s siblings on his social media accounts a few times before. Back in 2021, he and his brothers went on a road trip to pay their uncle Hank a surprise visit. Tim shared a video that shows him singing “Hotel California” in the car with his brothers at one point during their trip.

Then in April 2022, McGraw shared a photo of him, Matthew, and Mark. He simply captioned it, “The MCGRAW brothers.”

Tim’s brother Mark is a famous figure too. He is an actor who has appeared in projects such as Dead & Deader, No Boundaries, and The Sensei. He also served as the host of the TV series Spice Up My Kitchen.
But it seems Mark is taking his career in a new direction. Tim recently took to social media to congratulate Mark on a major milestone…he graduated from the Fire Academy!
“Congrats to my brother Mark and the entire 199th Cadet Class on graduating from the Philly Fire Academy! Good luck, be safe, and enjoy the celebration,” Tim captioned a picture of Mark smiling at his graduation. You can see the photo below.
Congratulations to Mark on his graduation from the Fire Academy! We wish him well.
