A huge number of residents are without power and many more experienced damage to their homes and businesses during a tornado that touched down in northern Dallas on Sunday evening (October 20th, 2019).

The National Weather Service has confirmed at least one tornado touched down during that time frame and, luckily, no serious injuries or fatalities have been reported.

Some people had been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans, in a report from USA Today.

Dallas Fire-Rescue confirmed on Twitter that at least one of their fire stations had suffered significant damage during the storm and their spokesman said that seven people managed to escape a collapsed structure in the northwestern part of Dallas.
Electricity provider Oncor said that 100,000+ customers were without power in the area.
