Riley Green Speaks About The Likelihood Of A Future Collaboration With Ella Langley
Riley Green and Ella Langley have now recorded two duets and won several awards together, but will they ever collaborate again?
That’s the question lots of country fans have been asking. The pair released their first duet, “you look like you love me,” in June 2024, and it was a smash success.
The track won the CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year in 2024. Then, it swept up three more trophies at the 2025 CMA Awards, winning Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.

Green and Langley released their second duet, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” in September 2024. Green told Holler he originally had Langley come into the studio just to get a female voice on the song.
But when it came time to finish the track, he couldn’t imagine anyone else on it. “I was still deciding who I was going to get to do it, but she did such a great job, we just didn’t think anybody could sing it better than she did,” he said.
The pair has performed the song live many times, with one of their most memorable duets occurring during the Season 26 finale of The Voice.
Since Langley and Green have proven to be such a great team, will they ever record another song together? Green answered that question during a recent conversation with iHeart Country.
“It would be really difficult not to try to do another song with Ella because that’s really worked well,” he said.
Green continued to say, “I think any collaboration that I do has got to be something that’s really organic. And just, you know, somebody that I have a relationship with, somebody I’m friends with, somebody I’m a fan of, and has the same musical inspirations that I did. I think me and Ella grew up the same way, and I think fans can tell when it’s real.
He added, “There’s certainly some collaborations that go through management and labels and the proper channels, and I’ve never done it that way. It’s always been somebody I’m friends with says ‘Hey, I like this song, wanna be a part of it?‘”
Fans Thought They Noticed Tension Between Riley, Ella, And Megan Moroney At The CMA Awards
Green’s comments seemingly squash some fans’ suspicions that he and Langley are on less-than-great terms. A few fans who watched the CMA Awards on November 19 thought they noticed tension between Green and Langley, and between fellow singer Megan Moroney and the pair.
These thoughts stem from rumors that Moroney and Green were romantically involved at one point, and that Green and Langley also had a past romantic connection. But these rumors have not been confirmed.
“You can’t tell me there wasn’t anything going on based on the look on Megan’s face…” one TikTok user wrote after the camera cut to show Moroney’s reaction to one of Green and Langley’s wins at the CMA Awards.
Another user thought Langley seemed miffed with Green at the CMA Awards, writing, “Oh they hate each other.”
