The highly anticipated fourth season of Yellowstone is set to debut on November 7. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the season premiere so they can find out what happened to John, Beth, and Kayce Dutton following Season 3’s cliffhanger ending.
A new, full trailer for Season 4 was released in early September. Although it doesn’t share John, Beth, and Kayce’s fates, the trailer does contain never-before-seen material.
Yellowstone previously announced that Season 4 would feature a batch of new characters. Deadline first reported on the new additions in July.
Jacki Weaver joins the cast as a character named Caroline Warner. Deadline describes her character as being “the CEO of Market Equities that is trying to crush the hold that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) has on his sprawling Montana ranch.”
Nashville alum Kathryn Kelly is also joining the show as “a vet tech who strikes up a relationship with a Dutton ranch cowboy,” according to Deadline. Another new addition to the cast is actress Piper Perabo, who will play a protestor named Summer Higgins.
“[Higgins] is against the state funded police force that protects industrialized farming and the killing of animals,” Deadline reported.
All of the above mentioned characters are recurring. But there is another new character joining the cast who will be a series regular. This character will be portrayed by young Australian actor Finn Little.
Deadline describes Little’s character as being “a youth reminiscent of a young Rip (Cole Hauser) whom the Duttons gave a home. Here, Beth decides the ranch is the best place to teach the youth how to be a man.”
Fans finally got the chance to meet Little (and his character Carter) in an introductory video Yellowstone shared on social media.
“On my first day I was taken to props where I was given a selection of knives to choose for Carter,” Little said in an interview about his character. “Everyone just said, ‘Welcome to Yellowstone.'”
The clip also features an interview with Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler. He praised Little, saying, “Finn is great, I mean he’s a natural the kid. It doesn’t start easy for him ya know, it’s tough treading.”
You can hear Little and Hauser’s full interviews by tuning in to the video below. The video also contains a few scenes Little shot for Yellowstone‘s fourth season…giving you a first look at who his character is!
