You’ll Never Believe What Trisha Yearwood Convinced Garth Brooks To Wear

Christmas means candy canes, snowmen, eggnog, and…ugly sweaters?

While there have been ugly Christmas sweaters around for years, no one ever really seemed to know they were ugly. Within recent times, it’s suddenly become a thing to don the most ridiculous Christmas-themed sweater you can find in an effort to out-ugly your friends and family.

This ugly Christmas sweater theme is often carried out through holiday parties, where guests are invited to show up in the ugliest sweater they can find. It’s an aspect of celebrating Christmas that has quickly established itself as a tradition in many families.

One household that seems to love the whole ugly Christmas sweater is the Brooks/Yearwood bunch. They enjoy the tradition so much, in fact, that they included a song called “Ugly Christmas Sweater” on their new Christmas album, Christmas Together.

The song is performed by Garth Brooks and features Trisha Yearwood. In the song, Brooks sings of being at an office Christmas party when he spots a beautiful girl wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. He spends the whole evening trying to win her attention, until he finally ends up under the mistletoe with her.

If you follow Brooks and Yearwood on social media, then you’ve likely seen their ugly Christmas sweater posts. To go along with the album, the couple launched their ugly sweater campaign. Starting on December 3, Brooks and Yearwood pledged to wear an ugly sweater and post a photo of their ensemble every day for the next 12 days.

We’ve seen Brooks and Yearwood wear some pretty outlandish sweaters since they kicked off their campaign. But Brooks’ outfit from Monday (December 12) has to be the best so far.

Brooks shared a photo of his ugly sweater getup, which was less ugly sweater and more adorable onesie. That’s right, Brooks was wearing a Rudolph onesie, complete with an antlered hood!

However, Brooks revealed in the caption to the photo that he wasn’t exactly willing to wear it. He shared that Yearwood was actually the one who convinced him to do so, writing, “Only the QUEEN could get me to wear this.

But Yearwood made sure that Brooks wasn’t alone. She also threw on an ugly Christmas onesie for her ugly sweater day. Instead of dressing up like Rudolph, Yearwood put on a cozy white onesie complete with a scarf, hat, and carrot nose so that she looked like the sweetest snowman that we’ve ever seen!

Brooks and Yearwood are too cute! Watch them perform “Baby It’s Cold Outside” together in the video below, which is immediately followed by Brooks singing “Ugly Christmas Sweater.”

As Brooks and Yearwood’s ugly sweater campaign dwindles down to its last days, we can’t wait to see what their final outfits will be. Let us know, whose onesie did you like better? Brooks’ or Yearwood’s? We can’t decide!
