Zach Bryan quickly became one of the fastest-rising stars the country genre has seen in years.
Zach Bryan Opts Out of Grammy Consideration
Zach Bryan is one of the biggest artists in music right now, but you won’t see his name in any category at the 2025 Grammys.
According to a report from Variety, Bryan has chosen not to submit his work for consideration in any category for the upcoming awards show, scheduled for February next year. The outlet states that his name is absent from the online ballots, which are only accessible to members of the Recording Academy.
Bryan’s reason for not submitting his music for consideration this year is said to stem from his dislike of how award shows create competition in the music industry.
Although Bryan has decided to opt out of the Grammys this time, his work has been considered in the past, and he even won his first Grammy this year.
Bryan won at the 2024 Grammys for his collaboration “I Remember Everything” with country sensation Kacey Musgraves, taking home the award for Best Country Duo/Group. Additionally, Bryan has received a total of four Grammy nominations in the country genre categories, with three coming last year and one the year before.
Zach Bryan Reaches One Billion Streams on Spotify
Even though he won’t be making an appearance at the Grammys this time around, Bryan’s music appears to be speaking for itself, as he recently achieved an incredible milestone that only a select group of artists have ever done.
Bryan’s chart-topping hit “Something In The Orange” reached one billion streams on Spotify, which is no easy feat, considering only two other solo country artists have achieved this. The only others to do this are Chris Stapleton with his rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey” and Morgan Wallen with his hit “Last Night.”
Currently, Zach Bryan is on his “The Quittin’ Time Tour,” which will wrap up its last show in Brooklyn, New York, on December 19.
