Carrie Underwood Gushes About Sweet Valentine’s Gift From Husband Mike Fisher

TODAY

Carrie Underwood and her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, always turn heads whenever they walk the red carpet together. But when Fisher was unable to attend the Grammy Awards in 2016, Underwood had to walk the red carpet solo.

Although Fisher wasn’t with her, all eyes were still on Underwood as she graced the red carpet in a slimming black gown and a set of stunning jewels. Curious to know where dazzling necklace came from, one reporter asked Underwood about it.

Thank you,” Underwood said, adjusting her necklace in the process. “It was a Valentine’s present that I don’t deserve!

Since most celebrities typically wear jewelry on loan for red carpet appearances, the reporter was surprised to learn that the necklace actually belonged to Underwood. As she inquired about it further, Underwood was happy to gush about it and her husband’s generosity:

It’s mine to wear, so whenever I feel like it, I can be in my sweat pants, making dinner, wearing my necklace. I kind of knew it was coming. We had been helping and working with designer Johnathon Arndt to make something special. We don’t do a whole lot of gifts often, it was nice. This is many years’ worth of gifts.

Underwood couldn’t stop smiling the entire time she talked about the beautiful Valentine’s gift from her husband. It’s a good thing that it’s supposed to represent many years’ of gifts, because we don’t know how Fisher could ever top that!

So far, Underwood hasn’t shared what the couple’s plans will be for Valentine’s Day this year. After being on tour for most of 2016, we’re sure that Underwood would enjoy a cozy night at home with her husband.

February is a month full of celebrations for Underwood and Fisher. In addition to Valentine’s Day, the couple will celebrate their son Isaiah’s birthday this month. He will turn two on February 27, and we can’t wait to see what kind of party they throw for him this year. Everything had a fish theme for his first birthday, playing off of their last name “Fisher.” Underwood shared a photo of his adorable birthday cake, which featured a giant goldfish on top.
