2020 Grammy Nominations: Country Nominees Include Tanya Tucker, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert

The 2020 Grammy nominations have been revealed!

On Wednesday morning (November 20), the Recording Academy announced all of the nominees for its 62nd awards ceremony, which will take place on January 26. There are four categories devoted exclusively to country music, but country artists can also be nominated in one of the five general field categories.

Tanya Tucker scored more nominations than any other country artist this year, with a total of four. In addition to being nominated in the country categories, she also earned a nod in the general field Song of the Year category for her song “Bring My Flowers Now.”

Brandi Carlile, who co-wrote “Bring My Flowers Now,” earned two nominations for her work on the song. She also received a third nomination Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration on “Common” with Maren Morris.

Miranda Lambert earned both a solo nomination for “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” and a nomination with her group Pistol Annies. The Annies’ record Interstate Gospel was nominated for Best Country Album.

Other notable nominees include Blake Shelton (nominated for Best Country Solo performance for “God’s Country”), Reba McEntire (nominated for Best Country Album for Stronger Than the Truth), and Brooks & Dunn and Luke Combs (nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Brand New Man.”)

Dolly Parton also earned a nod in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song category for her collaboration with for KING & COUNTRY on “God Only Knows.”
