After premiering on December 19, 1883 will wrap up its first season in just a few days. The finale will be released on Sunday, February 27 on Paramount+.
We won’t spoil anything here if you haven’t had the chance to get caught up on the series. But we will say that viewers are understandably anxious to see what happens in the finale following the events of the previous episode.
LaMonica Garrett, who plays Thomas, addressed this anxiousness in a post he made on social media about the upcoming finale. He shared a photo of Thomas in camp, and wrote out a quote he said earlier in the series:
“‘I figure maybe that, one of they kids, has a kid and, and that kid does something. Something that, that worlds better, cuz that kids in it.. Know whhudda mean.'”
Garrett also got fans hyped up about the finale. He told his followers, “Hope y’all are ready for the @1883official finale.” He included three mind blown emojis in his post. That leads us to believe the finale is going to be intense!
Although 1883 is wrapping up this current phase of the story, there is more to come. It was announced that more episodes of 1883 are on the way, though it has not been said if there will be a true Season 2 of the series.
In addition, show creator Taylor Sheridan is working on a number of new series, including another Yellowstone spinoff. This new prequel series, titled 1932, will follow a different generation of Duttons.
