Brad Paisley appeared at the People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday (September 26) and performed a brand-new song.

A few days ago, Paisley posted a photo of a closed garage with the caption, “I’ve got some big news…”

He then revealed that the “big news” was a new song, which will be released on Friday (September 27). The song is titled “Truck Still Works,” and had fans freaking out.

His wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley even got in on the fun by commenting, “Truck Still Works—garage door’s broken. 🤷🏻‍♀️”

See some of the fan reactions to his tease below.

“It’s like an early Christmas!”

“Babe, wake up. Brad Paisley has new music this Friday”

“Oh hot dam this is just what we need 🙌🔥 And that lead tone”

“Mud on the tires sequel incoming”

“Friday can’t come soon enough.”

Luckily, we didn’t have to wait until Friday to hear the new song.

Paisley was named as a performer at the People’s Choice Country Awards earlier this week.

On Tuesday (September 24), the People’s Choice Country Awards (PCCAs) announced that Paisley and rocker-rapper Machine Gun Kelly would be added to the lineup of star-studded performers.

He started the performance off with an acoustic rendition of his hit “Mud On The Tires.” Paisley sang the first verse and chorus of his 2003 hit, having the audience sing the last line chorus before transitioning into his new song.

As some fans predicted, it did sound like a sequel to “Mud On The Tires” with some of the lyrics and melody going back to the 2003 song!

Paisley earned a standing ovation for her rockin’ performance! Watch it below!
