Brothers Osborne won the CMA Award for Vocal Duo of the Year on Wednesday night (November 9). This was their fifth time receiving the award. They previously won in 2021, 2018, 2017, and 2016.

Members T.J. and John Osborne have another reason to celebrate…John’s going to be a father!
John and his wife, fellow country music artist Lucie Silvas, shared the news at the CMA Awards that Lucie is pregnant. And she is expecting twins!
The couple shared the news with friends on the red carpet before the ceremony. They also spoke to PEOPLE, and detailed how they underwent IVF to conceive:
“We are so excited,” Lucie said. “It is such an amazing thing to be in this position to be growing two babies. When you think that you may never have the chance to have children and then suddenly you’re going to have two, it’s amazing.”
Lucie continued:
“We went through a very long, tough journey with IVF to get to this point. We had an embryo transfer where we transferred two embryos thinking that would give us a better chance of getting one [baby], but we got two. I think deep down, we were hoping for two.”

But those who didn’t follow red carpet coverage were not aware of John and Lucie’s pregnancy news until John made an announcement during the Brothers’ acceptance speech for Vocal Duo of the Year. He said:
“I just wanna say real quick…we’ve told a bunch of people, but letting the world know my wife Lucie’s pregnant. We’ve got twins on the way. I love you babe, you’ll be an amazing mom.”
