Two of the biggest names in country music are teaming up for an inaugural event, and it’s destined to be epic!

On Wednesday (October 23), Chris Stapleton announced he will perform at the new Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, March 14, 2020. The concert will be the first-ever to take place at the stadium, which will serve as the new home to the Texas Rangers baseball team.

But Chris won’t be left to pull off the concert on his own. A few famous friends will join him for the event.

Chris announced that Willie Nelson and his family will open for him at the show.

Jamey Johnson and English singer-songwriter Yola will also perform at the event.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale November 1. With that lineup, there’s a good chance the show could sell out!

This won’t be the first time that Stapleton and Nelson have ever done a show together. Four years ago, they honored Waylon Jennings with a collaborative cover of his song, “My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys.”

At the same concert, Stapleton and Nelson joined an all-star cast to sing “Luckenbach, Texas” in tribute to Jennings. And three years ago, the duo united with Kris Kristofferson to sing “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away” during John Lennon’s 75th birthday celebration.

More recently, Stapleton and Nelson joined Johnson and Lee Ann Womack to cover Bob Dylan‘s “Gotta Serve Somebody.” You can listen to that recording below.

With Stapleton, Nelson, and Johnson all being in the same place for the March 14 concert in Texas, maybe we can expect to hear them sing “Gotta Serve Somebody” live! Wouldn’t that be neat?
