Country Legend To Headline FIRST EVER Outlaw Country Music Festival

Get your boots ready, y’all, because there is FINALLY an outlaw country music festival.

Thanks to one of the pioneers of the outlaw movement, Willie Nelson, and production company Blackbird Presents, Scranton, Pennsylvania will host the first ever Outlaw Music Festival in September 2016.

According to Blackbird Presents’ website, tickets will be available Friday, July 29th at 10am.

Willie Nelson and Family, Neil Young + Promise of the Real, Sheryl Crow, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Lee Ann Womack and Brothers Osbourne are set to perform. Additions performers will be announced at a later time.

Promise of the Real just so happens to be Nelson’s son, Lukas’ band.

This is a huge step for outlaw country and we can’t wait to see who else will be added to the already incredible lineup!

With the passing of outlaw legend Merle Haggard earlier this year, we expect to see a few tributes at the festival and possibly even an appearance by his sons Ben and Noel, who have been touring in their father’s place for his remaining tour dates after his death in April.

Who else do you think they will add the the lineup? Perhaps Hank Williams Jr.? Ultimate outlaw couple Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter’s son, Shooter? Jessi Colter herself? Kris Kristofferson? The possibilities are endless!

Watch the ultimate outlaw group, The Highwaymen, perform their signature song below.
