Did you tune in to the 2021 Grammy Awards on Sunday (March 14)? If you missed the show, here’s a recap of the country artists who won.
There are four country music-specific categories at the Grammys. Those categories are: Best Country Album, Best Country Song, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Best Country Solo Performance.
Here’s who won in all of those categories at the 2021 Grammy Awards:
- The award for Best Country Album went to Miranda Lambert‘s Wildcard
- The supergroup The Highwomen won the award for Best Country Song for “Crowded Table”
- Dan + Shay‘s collaboration with Justin Bieber, “10,000 Hours,” took home the trophy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance
- The award for Best Country Solo Performance was bestowed upon Vince Gill for his performance of “When My Amy Prays”
Also of note, the late John Prine won two posthumous awards. His song “I Remember Everything” won the award for Best American Roots Song. Prine also won the Best American Roots Performance award for his performance of “I Remember Everything.”
Prine’s widow, Fiona, appeared on CBS This Morning on Monday morning (March 15) to speak about how much her husband’s posthumous wins mean to her.
Last night's #GRAMMYs featured a moving tribute by @BrandiCarlile to the late singer-songwriter, @JohnPrineMusic.
His final song, "I Remember Everything," won him two posthumous awards.

For the second year in a row, Dolly Parton won in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song category. In 2020, she won for her performance of “God Only Knows” with for KING & COUNTRY. This year, she won for her performance of “There Was Jesus” with Zach Williams.
Dolly celebrated the win on social media, writing, “Thank you Jesus, thank you @zachwilliams, and thank you to the GRAMMYs and all of our fans. I am very humbled but proud.”
