Many were heartbroken upon hearing the news that Bob Saget was found dead in his Orlando hotel room on January 9. The Orange County Sheriff stated that no signs of foul play or drug use were discovered.
Saget, who was 65 years old, was famous for playing Danny Tanner on Full House. He remained close with many of his Full House co-stars after the series ended, including John Stamos.
Stamos took to Twitter not long after news broke that Saget passed away. He said, “I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”

Stamos continued to express his grief in followup Tweets. In one, he wrote, “I miss getting a text from him right now. Me answering. Him saying he’s too tired to respond. Me saying, ‘Then why’d you text me so early?’”
The mornings are hard. Middle of day comes in waves. Mostly bad. Nighttime is hard. I miss getting a text from him right now. Me answering. Him saying he’s too tired to respond. Me saying, “Then why’d you text me so early?”

Saget was laid to rest during a private funeral on January 14. Stamos served as one of the pallbearers.
On the morning of the funeral, Stamos tweeted:
“Today will be the hardest day of my life. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

On Wednesday (January 19), Stamos shared an emotional tribute video he made to honor Saget. The video contained clips of Saget through the years, including several with Stamos.
Stamos set the video to the song “Laughter for Love” by the late Don Rickles, who was a friend to him and Saget.
“When I saw [Bob’s] last Instagram post, my first thought was he looked too ‘alive’ to die a few hours later,” Stamos wrote in the video’s caption. “But when I really thought about it – Bob did it right. We should all want to ‘Die Alive’ We don’t want to be filled with regret and remorse, forgotten, and discarded. We want to be overwhelmed with the privilege of doing what we do best. Bob felt young, energized, grateful and and appreciated. He died bright and fierce.”
