John Travolta shared a touching remembrance to mark what would have been his firstborn son’s 29th birthday.
The Grease star welcomed three children with his late wife, Kelly Preston. Sadly, Kelly passed away in July 2020 after a battle with breast cancer. Travolta confirmed the news in an emotional post. Kelly was 57.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many,” Travolta wrote on Instagram.

On Wednesday, Travolta also honored his late son, who passed in 2009. Jett, who had autism, died after suffering a seizure and head injury. Jett hit his head in the bathtub while the family vacationed in the Bahamas. He was 16 years old.
“Happy birthday my beautiful Jetty,” Travolta shared in an Instagram post. “I love you.”

The actor’s 21-year-old daughter, Ella, also shared a separate post for her brother. On Instagram, Ella shared a black-and-white image of the siblings as young children.
“I love you Jetty. Happy Birthday,” Ella wrote in the caption.
