Fans quickly noticed that the red, highlighted letters in the event poster spell out the name of Urban’s upcoming album, HIGH.

Despite the short notice, thousands of fans turned up at Buc-ee’s for Urban’s concert. In addition to getting a free show, fans also got the chance to enjoy some of Buc-ee’s’ famous BBQ—served by Urban himself!

“The Fighter” singer hopped behind the counter to help serve BBQ to his fans. A video filmed by Eric Thompson and shared by meteorologist James Spann on X (formerly Twitter) shows Urban wearing a cowboy hat and Buc-ee’s apron while stirring the beloved Buc-ee’s BBQ sauce.

Urban poured the sauce over a pile of brisket, making the iconic Buc-ee’s “fresh sauce on the board!” announcement. It looked like he was having a blast!

Urban later shared his own video from his BBQ experience at Buc-ee’s. The clip shows him announcing “fresh brisket on the board” before chopping up the meat in front of the excited crowd.

Everyone cheered as Urban prepared the brisket for them to enjoy.

Keith Releases His Next Album, HIGH, In September

Urban’s surprise Buc-ee’s show fell just one month before he plans to release his new album, HIGH. Fans have already heard a few of the record’s songs, including “HEART LIKE A HOMETOWN” and “WILDSIDE.”

The record also contains a collaboration with Lainey Wilson, titled “GO HOME W U.” The pair joined forces at CMA Fest in June to deliver a surprise performance of the song.

More recently, Urban and Wilson released the official music video for “GO HOME W U,” which features footage from their CMA Fest performance. Watch that video below.

Maybe Buc-ee’s will get a shout-out in one of Urban’s future music videos?
