Keith Urban & Lainey Wilson Treat CMA Fest To Surprise Performance Of “GO HOME W U”
Nashville got the chance to watch Urban and Wilson sing “GO HOME W U” again just one week later. The singers united to deliver a surprise performance of the song during night three of CMA Fest (Saturday, June 8).
The unannounced collaboration occurred during Urban’s set on the Mainstage in Nissan Stadium. Urban performed his new songs “Messed Up As Me” and “Straight Line” before calling Wilson to the stage. She performed at Nissan Stadium earlier in the evening, so she was right on hand to join Urban during his set.
After they finished singing, Urban gave Wilson some well-earned recognition for one of her recent accomplishments. She became the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry the previous night (June 7)!
“Lainey Wilson, the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry!” he shouted while the crowd cheered.
The festival was filmed for a TV special that aired on ABC on Tuesday, June 25. Urban and Wilson’s duet was featured on the program, and you can watch their performance below!
