Welcome Back To Another Recap Of Landman, Taylor Sheridan’s New Hit Series
To recap last week’s episode of Landman, Tommy is back with his ex-wife Angela, as they are attempting to mend their broken relationship. As Angela tries to keep the family together, it is clear that Cooper and his sister, Ainsley, do not get along.
Outside of the family drama, Cooper was held at gunpoint over visiting with a potential love interest, Ariana, whose husband died in a freak accident in the oil field. The episode featured the cartels threatening Tommy over the drugs that they accidentally crashed after stealing a plane. Although illogical, they want retribution.
The episode ended with another death in the oil field and a missing Cooper.
That brings us back to the start of Episode 6.

Episode 6 Recap
The audience gets a more in-depth view of Monty for the first time since the series began. The episode opens with Tommy walking into his boss’s lavish house. Tommy shows a seemingly out-of-character weariness when meeting with Monty.

The two discuss the threats from the cartel and the potential threat of green initiatives. While having that conversation, Tommy gets a call that Cooper is in the hospital, so he races out of their meeting and drives to see his son.
In the last episode, it was revealed that Cooper failed to show up for work one day. He had been beaten within an inch of his life by Manuel and his cronies.
The series also shows where his love interest Ariana was when she found out Cooper was in the hospital.
Ariana was with lawyers Rebecca and Nathan, who have played a pivotal role throughout the season.

The lawyers offered Ariana and her family a settlement for the men they lost early in the season. The only one who did not sign the settlement was Ariana because when she went to call Cooper and ask if he thought it was a good idea, she found that he was in the hospital and raced to be by his side.
On a separate note, Angela decides to leave her husband to be with Tommy, who is also her ex-husband. When she arrives, she meets with lawyers who have already sent her belongings to Tommy’s house. She doesn’t even get the chance to talk to her husband, but she does leave with his car and two nice bottles of wine.
On her way out, she gets the call that Cooper is also in the hospital and leaves to see him.
Cooper wakes up after having surgery for a collapsed lung. Although he is badly injured, he is alive.
Tommy is furious about what happened to his son and pays Manuel a visit.
He beats Manuel and the men involved in his son’s hospital visit and then gets them sentenced to jail for decades, but only after threatening that if they ever come back, he will kill them.
