Luke Bryan finally took the stage in Oklahoma City on October 5.

During his nearly 25-song set list, Bryan included a tribute to Oklahoma’s very own, Toby Keith, who passed away on February 5, 2024.

In the middle of his set list, Bryan started singing “Courtesy Of The Red, White, and Blue.”  As you can imagine, the Okies he was playing for lost their minds and started singing at the top of their lungs.

Bryan started including this Toby Keith cover as far back as June 15th, according to Setlist.fm. He includes the song during his acoustic portion of the show, where he slows everything down to perform a few songs accompanying himself on either the guitar or the piano, including his Chris Stapleton-written hit, “Drink A Beer.”

This isn’t the first time Luke Bryan has tipped hit hat to the Big Dog Daddy.

On July 29, Luke Bryan was one of many artists on hand to pay tribute to Toby Keith at the tribute concert Toby Keith: American Icon.

Bryan was tasked with singing Keith’s hit song “Should’ve Been A Cowboy.”

The “That’s My kinda Night” singer wore a black cowboy hat for the performance, which is rare because he is usually just in a baseball hat. He explained to the crowd before his song, he told the crowd that the hat was a gift from his sister who suddenly passed away in 2007, and he hadn’t worn it since.

“I was walking out of the house and I said, ‘You know what? I’m just an old country boy from Georgia, but Toby Keith certainly made me want to be a cowboy,” Bryan said. “So I’m gonna be a cowboy tonight. This is for you, Toby.”
