The caption read, “My last turn home,” a reference to the song the two wrote together the first time they met.
The Grammy award-winning “My Church” singer announced her engagement to Hurd, a fellow singer-songwriter, in July 2017 in a series of Instagram photos.

Morris and Hurd first met during a songwriting session in 2013 where they worked together on “Last Turn Home,” a ballad that Tim McGraw eventually recorded.
“We were both at different publishing companies, and our publishers’ job is to fill our calendars up, so they just randomly put us together on a write one day,” Morris previously told PEOPLE.
The writing sessions led to a deep friendship between the two that eventually evolved into a relationship.
“We had been friends for only a couple of years, but there was always this writing chemistry in the room, and eventually, the timing of it was undeniable. We had such a foundation built off writing so many songs over the years that we were like, ‘Why are we avoiding this?’ ” Morris said.
As their wedding day approached, Hurd released a “Diamonds or Twine,” a song he wrote for Morris ahead of their engagement last summer. “I wrote this song for you, played it for you in Michigan the night I asked you to marry me. Diamonds or twine, no matter what, I’ll be wrapped around your finger. I love you, MM. Here’s to forever,” Hurd shared on Instagram.
