In April 2016, Miranda Lambert and Anderson East walked their first red carpet together, just months after confirming their relationship. The awards show they attended was none other than the ACM Awards.
From that point on, Lambert and East became a constant fixture on the red carpets of all of the major country awards shows. With the exception of the 2016 CMT Music Awards (which Lambert didn’t even attend solo), the couple walked the red carpet at all major country awards shows from the 2016 ACM Awards to the 2017 CMA Awards in November.
However, fans have recently started to wonder if Lambert would be walking the ACM red carpet without East this year. That’s because it’s been rumored that the two have ended their relationship.
Neither Lambert nor East has directly confirmed or denied any of the many rumors swirling about their breakup. Lambert potentially came close to addressing the rumors during a concert, when she began talking about heartbreak before a performance of her song “Tin Man.”
“I want you to feel sad, mad, happy and nostalgic and really pissed sometimes. That’s my favorite. And part of feelings is also heartbreak unfortunately, but fortunately for me, I can use it for my art or whatever.”
Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Lambert and East have completely ceased talking about each other on social media in recent months. Lambert last mentioned East when she shared a photo of him on Instagram in January, while a tweet dating back to November is East’s last mention of her.
With all of this further fueling the rumor mill, fans waited to see if East would make an appearance at the ACM Awards this year, or if Lambert would walk the red carpet solo.
The latter scenario is exactly what happened. As a disclaimer, East did have a sold-out show scheduled in Cincinnati, Ohio. So even if he and Lambert are still together, he wouldn’t have been able to attend anyway.
Since the carpet at the ACM Awards is technically the “blue carpet,” Lambert brought the “red” with the dress she was wearing. The daring gown featured several cutouts at the top and down the front, and was accented with a bit of sparkle. She rocked that carpet all on her own!
What do you think about East’s absence on the red carpet? Do you feel this is an obvious sign that he has parted ways with Lambert? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
