Is Post Malone Releasing A Country Album?
It appears Post Malone is gearing up to release a new duet…with Luke Combs.
Post Malone rose to fame in 2016 following the release of his debut album Stoney. Since then, he’s earned a number of big hits, including songs such as “Circles,” “Sunflower,” and “Rockstar.”
While he started off his career as a rapper and hip hop/pop artist, Post Malone has often dabbled in country. He famously covered Brad Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her” a few years ago.
In 2023, there was a lot of talk that Post Malone was planning to release a country album. The talk reached a fever pitch after he joined HARDY and Morgan Wallen for a Joe Diffie tribute performance at the CMA Awards in November.
Not long after that performance, Post Malone confirmed he is making a country album.
Few details are known about the record at this time. But we now know it may contain a collaboration with one of country music’s biggest stars.
Post Malone Shares Video Teasing New Duet With Luke Combs
On Thursday (February 15), Post Malone shared a short teaser video of a new song. The clip shows him rocking out while listening to the new track. You hear him singing first, before Combs’ unmistakable voice jumps in after a few lines.
Post Malone didn’t offer any additional context in the caption. He simply included the clinking beer mugs emoji, and tagged Combs.
Combs commented on the video with the same emoji, along with a flame emoji. He said nothing more than that.
The two artists were photographed together in the studio in November…so this new collaboration has clearly been in the works for some time!
Needless to say, fans were thrilled to see that Combs and Post Malone are releasing a song together!
Combs is currently riding off the success of his “Fast Car” cover, which was one of the biggest country songs of 2023. He recently joined Tracy Chapman at the Grammys to sing it with her for the first time.
Now, he’s preparing for another huge collaboration with Post Malone!
You can watch the teaser of the new Post Malone and Luke Combs duet in the video below. It’s clear Post himself had a fun time listening to the track!
Stay tuned for any further details about the song and its release.
