Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson is speaking up about “one of the most challenging things” she’s ever had to deal with…having COVID-19 while pregnant.
23-year-old Sadie is currently expecting her first child with her husband, Christian Huff. But in the midst of what should be an extremely exciting time, Sadie ended up in the hospital.
She spoke about her experience with COVID-19 in a post on Instagram, and described the severity of her symptoms:
“I got Covid-19 and ended up getting very sick,” she wrote. “I know everyone experiences covid differently, but wow these symptoms are wild. I’ve definitely struggled through this one!”
Sadie also posted a selfie from her hospital bed, but said the picture was taken a few days ago. She has since left the hospital, and says she is on the mend.
Thankfully, she said both she and Baby Huff seem to be doing fine:
“…baby Huff is doing great and healthy, and I am now healing as well,” she said. “I’m no longer in the hospital (this pic was not from today) and i have just about fully recovered.“
Sadie credits her faith for helping her get through the challenging time:
“I will say my dependency on Jesus has never felt greater in some of the hardest moment of this sickness,” she said. “I’m thankful I serve a savior who is with me in these moments that feel rather lonely.”
Sadie shared that her mom, Korie, and her younger sister, Bella, also had COVID-19. She said she, her mom, and Bella will talk about their experiences on her WHOA That’s Good podcast on Wednesday (October 28).
