Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi welcomed a baby boy on October 24. They named him Merrick “Avery” McCreery. He goes by his middle name, Avery, since his first name is in honor of Gabi’s father.
Just a week after Avery was born, Scotty and Gabi celebrated their first Halloween as parents. They wore matching jack-o’-lantern shirts that coordinated with Avery’s Halloween-themed outfit.

More recently, Scotty and Gabi celebrated another “first” with their son…his first beach trip!
Scotty and Gabi love going to the beach at home in North Carolina. So it only seems fitting they chose to take Avery to the beach on one of his first outings.
They brought their beloved dog, Moose, on the trip with them. Scotty shared a photo on social media that shows him wearing Avery in a baby carrier while Moose sits at his feet. You can see the stunning blue sky and waves behind them.
“Offseason beachin w/ my boys…and my lady” Scotty wrote in the caption while tagging his wife as the person who took the sweet snapshot. You can see it below.

Scotty recently released the music video for his newest single, “It Matters to Her.” The video shows Scotty and Gabi working on Avery’s nursery while they were preparing for his arrival. It ends by showing a few photos of Avery on the day he was born.
