DUring the semifinals of The Voice, Team Blake‘s Keisha Renee gave her fellow competitors a run for their money with a stunning take on Rascal Flatts‘ heartbreaking country ballad, “What Hurts the Most.”
Fans first met Renee in the the blind auditions with her four-chair-turn performance of “I Can’t Stop Loving You.” After a fierce plea from all the coaches, Renee went on to choose Team Blake in hopes of him leading her into a career in country music.
After working as a background singer for female rapper Nicki Minaj, the 31-year-old California-native auditioned for NBC’s hit singing competition.
“What Hurts the Most” was released by Rascal Flatts off the 2006 album Me and My Gang, inevitably earning them their fifth single on Billboard Hot Country Songs.
