Fans Are Anticipating Season 3 Of Landman, But When Will It Begin?
A little over two weeks into its second season, Landman announced it had been renewed for Season 3.
Season 2 of Landman debuted on November 16. The season introduced a new character, T.L. Norris, played by veteran actor Sam Elliott.
T.L. is the father of the show’s main character, Tommy Norris (played by Billy Bob Thornton).
Before Season 2 premiered, Elliott shared some potential insight into when Season 3 will start. While speaking with ExtraTV, he said he’s “excited” for the third season to take shape.
“I’m excited to see what unfolds in Season 3,” he said. “I mean, we’re talking about Season 2, but that’s backstory for us at this point. We’re all kind of looking toward April and May when we start shooting Season 3.”
Did you catch that? Based on Elliott’s comments, Landman should begin filming Season 3 in April or May of this year.
The show’s second season also started filming at a similar time last year (2025). If Season 3 follows the same timeline, it seems safe to assume it could be ready for a mid-November premiere.
Landman‘s first season also debuted in mid-November (November 17, 2024). That seems to be the show’s preferred release week!

Landman‘s Second Season Finale Shattered Records On Paramount+
Landman‘s Season 2 finale dropped on Paramount+ on Sunday, January 18. The episode generated 14.8 million global views within two days of its release.
That number made the Season 2 finale the most-watched season finale for an original series in Paramount+ history. Additionally, the episode had a 70% increase in viewership when compared to the first season’s finale.
In other words, Landman is more popular now than ever before. With so many people tuning in to Season 2’s finale, it’s no wonder that people are eager to see what happens next in Season 3.
