Linda Davis & Daughter, Hillary Scott, Perform Gospel Song "Down in the River to Pray"

Linda Davis & Daughter, Hillary Scott, Perform Gospel Song “Down in the River to Pray”

Aquarian Weekly (Left), CMT/THR (Right)

Known for her angelic voice, this iconic singer joins forces with her daughter (who obviously inherited a beautiful voice) for one of the most beloved gospel songs ever sung.

Linda Davis has been a fan favorite country singer for almost 40 years and created an impressive career in music with chart-topping hits like her duet, “Does He Love You” with Reba McEntire. Her daughter, Hillary Scott, has also been known for storming the country charts as the frontwoman of Lady Antebellum.

When you combine these two impressive vocalists on a track, you’re sure to end up with nothing short of magic and that’s exactly what happened when the whole family partnered to work on Hillary’s first album outside of Lady A!

Called Love Remains, the gospel album features her entire family in one way or another and was produced by a bluegrass legend, Ricky Skaggs!

Together, the family joins in creating a stunning new rendition of “Down in the River to Pray”, titled on their album as “The River (Come on Down)”.

Listen to this beautifully-crafted gospel melody sung by mother and daughter country stars below!
