While performing at a 2013 concert, Carrie Underwood brought up a young girl on stage who nearly stole the show!
After spotting a little girl in the audience holding a sign with “Can I sing with you?” written on it, the country superstar gave a young fan the experience of a lifetime.
“What one of my songs do you know?” asked Underwood, to which the young girl responded, “Good Girl.”
“Good Girl,” released in 2012, is a high-energy country rock anthem by Carrie Underwood that showcases her powerful vocals and dynamic musical style. Co-written by Underwood along with Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley, the song delivers a cautionary tale about a seemingly perfect romance that isn’t as it appears.
The single, characterized by its blend of country twang and rock influences, quickly climbed the charts, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and earning widespread acclaim for its compelling message and Underwood’s fiery performance.
Carrie meet Genesis
The country singer intended to sing the song with her but quickly handed the microphone over after the young girl, whose name is Genesis Nava, sang the very first verse. Underwood danced along while the young singer with God-given talent perfectly nailed her performance of the killer country song.
11-year-old Genesis previously appeared on America’s Got Talent after wowing the judges with a jaw-dropping rendition of Underwood’s hit song.
After watching the young girl on the competition series, a local commissioner gave Genesis front row seats to the country singer’s show to congratulate her on how well she did.
And those front row tickets turned into another viral moment for Genesis!
The “Good Girl” duet took over the Internet and went completely viral! 11 years later, the YouTube video has 15 million views.
