Chris Janson and his wife, Kelly, are able to breathe sighs of relief following a scary experience with their son, Jesse.

Chris and Kelly share four children, two of which were from Kelly’s previous relationship. Jesse was born in March 2014.

Jesse’s seventh birthday fell right around Spring Break this year. Chris celebrated his birthday by sharing a video of him running through the sand on the beach:

Happy Bday to my hunting buddy, who’s rough and rowdy and everything a little boy should be,” Chris wrote. “It’s bittersweet but I love to watch him grow. So very grateful to God, and @thekellyjanson for blessing me with kids. Love u, son.”

Not long after Jesse celebrated his birthday, he gave his parents quite a scare.

A few days ago, Kelly shared that Jesse had been hospitalized after developing an infection. She explained how he cut his foot in the lake over spring break, and the cut started to show signs of infection. They became concerned when the infection “shot up his leg.”

At the time of Kelly’s initial post, Jesse was in the hospital receiving treatment, which included an IV and antibiotics.

Kelly posted an update the following day. Thankfully, Jesse’s infection subsided.

After a long night & a lot of prayer the infection has faded. Praise God,” she wrote. She said Jesse had been released from the hospital and that the staff took “amazing care” of him.

Chris also shared an update of his own after Jesse was home from the hospital.

After a lot of prayers, IV & strong antibiotic’s he’s out of the hospital,” Chris said. “Appreciate all the Prayers & well wishes.”

We’re happy to hear Jesse is feeling better. Hopefully the infection continues to fade!
