Life is good for Jake Owen, and it’s just going to get better. The country star is currently in the middle of his first television gig as one of the stars of the new reality singing competition Real Country. He also has a packed tour schedule for the coming year, seven No. 1 hits, a beautiful daughter and a stunning girlfriend. What more could a guy ask for? How about another baby!
Jake and his girlfriend Erica Hartlein used the recent Thanksgiving holiday to share that they are expecting their first child together! The couple appeared on the ABC News special I’m Coming Home, a show that took three celebrities back to their childhood hometowns to show where it all began. Owen and Hartlein traveled to Vero Beach, Florida, where they surprised Jake’s family with the news.
“This’ll throw you guys for a loop,” Owen told his family. “(We) haven’t told anyone, but Erica and I will be having a little addition to our Owen family.”
Owen’s family were thrilled about the news and went wild with excitement.
“Now I’m gonna turn really red!” Hartlein said as Jake’s mom voiced her wish for twins and his dad let it be known that he’s hoping for a boy.
Baby Owen will be the first child for Hartlein and the second for Jake who is dad to 6-year old Olive Pearl. Owen often shares photos of himself and Pearl on social media, and it’s fair to say that Jake is an amazing dad!
