On Thursday night (April 4), Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie XO found themselves in a nerve-wracking situation as their plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
Despite the unexpected detour, their journey to the 2024 CMT Music Awards will not be canceled.
Jelly Roll, accompanied by his wife and crew, was aboard a private jet en route to Austin for Sunday night’s CMT Music Awards. Unfortunately, their plane had to make an emergency stop during their journey due to a “malfunction,” adding an unexpected twist to their travel plans.
Bunnie XO used social media to inform her followers about the incident and reassure them that everyone emerged unharmed.
“When the private jet you’re in just stopped mid air, turned around & said we had to emergency land because of a malfunction,” Bunnie wrote over the video.
Bunnie captioned her post: “CMT i swear we’re coming,” accompanied by a crying emoji.
An hour later, she revealed, “We landed but might have to get back on the same plane.”

Despite the setback, fans can anticipate Jelly Roll’s presence both as a presenter and performer at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.
Additionally, he stands out as one of this year’s most-nominated artists, securing nods in the Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, and CMT Performance of the Year categories, all for his track “Need A Favor,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November.
