Exciting News For All Landman Fans!
The hit show has officially been renewed for Season 2.
This is no surprise, as the series was one of the most viewed shows on the Paramount+ platform. It ranked alongside two other Taylor Sheridan series, Tulsa King and Lioness.
According to Deadline, “Landman holds the titles for most-watched global premiere and finale of any Paramount+ series to date.”
An official release date for the series has not been announced, but it is projected to be released in late 2025 or early 2026.
Landman focuses on the oil tycoons of West Texas. The official description for the TV show is,
“Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”
The show adapts Christian Wallace’s top-rated podcast, Boomtown. It features an incredible cast, including Jon Hamm, Billy Bob Thornton, and Demi Moore.
Landman captivated fans with its blend of family drama, love stories, and the politics surrounding the West Texas oil fields.

Where Did We Leave Off In Season 1 Of Landman?
Season 1 of Landman concluded with the introduction of a new character, Galino, portrayed by the well-known actor Andy Garcia.
Galino comes to Tommy’s rescue after a local drug dealer kidnaps and tortures him.
Galino is a high-ranking member of the drug cartels, and his presence is unnerving for Tommy. During their brief interaction, the drug lord threatens Tommy if he does not agree to work with him. This promises an interesting storyline surrounding the drug cartel in Season 2.
At this point, Tommy is still dating his ex-wife, Angela, while their son, Cooper, is embarking on his independent venture in the oil business. Season two will explore whether Tommy and Angela can maintain their relationship and if Cooper can succeed in the oil fields like his father.
Additionally, a crucial moment from the season finale implies that Monty Miller, played by Jon Hamm, may have died. The actor seemingly confirmed this in a post-finale episode interview, revealing his character’s fate.
Is this truly the end for Monty, or has Taylor Sheridan misled the audience?
With Monty’s potential death, fans anticipate that Demi Moore’s Cami Miller will take on a more prominent role in the upcoming season, possibly even stepping up as the head of the oil company.
With drug cartels looming, heightened family drama, and the complexities of corporate politics, season two promises to be an exciting journey.
