Morgan Wallen Previously Donated $500,000 To Help With Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts
Morgan Wallen just announced his plans to host a food drive to assist those affected by Hurricane Helene.
Wallen previously donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts. The singer, who is from East Tennessee (one of the areas hit hardest by Helene), made the donation through his Morgan Wallen Foundation.
“Those hills and hollers are very important to me in so many ways. It is going to take a monumental effort and I am in contact with my team and others working on ways I can help,” Wallen said on his Instagram Story.
Trevor Riggin, the National President for Humanitarian Services with the Red Cross, confirmed Wallen’s donation in a statement to Knox News. Riggin told the publication:
“We can’t thank Morgan Wallen enough for his heart and generous $500,000 donation to impact help on the ground now in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene, including his beloved East Tennessee.”
Wallen’s donation is one of the largest given to Hurricane Helene relief efforts so far.

But Wallen didn’t stop there. On Friday (October 4), the Morgan Wallen Foundation announced it partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee to host a food and water drive.
The food drive will be held on Wednesday, October 9, from 6 AM-7 PM in Knoxville, Tennessee. The food drive will be set up at the West Town Mall corner of Dick’s House of Sport.
Accepted items include:
- Bottled water
- Pop top canned food (that doesn’t require a can opener)
- Easy-to-eat, ready-to-go foods. Some examples include crackers, peanut butter, and protein bars. In other words, food that doesn’t need to be cooked.

If you can’t donate to the food drive in person, you can also donate virtually through the Second Harvest Food Bank at this website. You can make a general donation or donate cases of peanut butter, milk, rice, canned tuna, and other food items.
Additionally, Wallen is selling a limited edition “Help” t-shirt referencing his #1 hit with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help.” All proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go toward Second Harvest of East Tennessee and MANNA FoodBank of Western North Carolina to help with Hurricane Helene relief.

Other than Wallen, country stars such as Scotty McCreery, Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Miranda Lambert have jumped in to offer support during this time of need.
