Walmart just leaked Wallen’s new album before the release date, and the country singer is understandingly not thrilled with the corporation.
Wallen learned of the leak when fans began sharing photos of the new album, Dangerous: The Double Album, which they purchased from Walmart days before the music should have been available. Wallen had worked on the album for three years and initially set the record’s release date for Jan. 8.

In response to Walmart’s oversight, Wallen posted a message to fans on his Instagram account. The “More Than My Hometown” singer also leaked a couple of his own songs on TikTok to take back control of the situation. In Wallen’s video, he stated:
“Hey y’all. It’s been brought to my attention that some of my music — well, my album — has leaked at some Walmarts around the country. I don’t know how that’s possible, but it has. And all the sudden some of y’all are posting trying to spread the new music which I’m super thankful for. I’m glad you’re eager to do that. But man, I’ve been working on this album for three years and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let Walmart do the leaking like that. So just keep up with me on here, and I’m gonna start doing the leaking of the songs myself.”

Wallen went on to slam Walmart and praised its competitor, Target. The singer reminded fans that his albums sold in Target stores would have two bonus songs, “Bandaid on a Bullet Hole” and “This Side of a Dust Cloud.”
