Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson welcomed her first child, Honey James, with her husband Christian in May. Ever since Honey’s birth, fans have commented about the little girl’s resemblance to her daddy. In a recent Instagram story post, the new mom proved what fans had been saying all along…Honey James is her daddy’s mini-me.
Prior to Honey’s birth, Sadie shared her baby’s name saying that it was inspired by one of her favorite Bible verses.
“’Gracious words are like HONEY, sweetness to the soul and health to the body,’ Proverbs 16:24. I’ve always loved this verse. Its made me have a love for the idea of all that honey is. It’s a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component,” Sadie wrote in an April 2021 post alongside a photo of a teddy bear wearing a “Honey” sweater.
“On our first date we went to do pottery together and on my cup I simply wrote “honey” (swipe) because i called him the boy with the honey words. Fast forward 2 and a half years later and we have a daughter on the way who we so proudly get to name after one of the loveliest words. Not to mention this word reminds me of my great grandma who calls everyone she loves honey,” Sadie wrote.

In the months since, the new parents have been filling their social media feeds with photos and updates about their little family. The response from fans has overwhelmingly been comments remarking about the strong resemblance between Honey and her daddy.
